Unlock Your Deepest Intimacy With Christ Through Prayer

While preparing for our Women’s Conference coming up in October, God impressed on my heart that I needed to strive for deeper intimacy with Him.

The key to unlocking this intimate relationship with my Savior is prayer. The God of the universe desires to hear my thoughts. Sure, He can read my mind, but He desires to hear it from me. That is an amazing truth!

 Parents, how precious are the conversations you have with your kids when they come to you, when they start the conversation, when they seek your advice or just want to tell you about their day.

God is our Father and He desires this intimate interaction.

Jesus Is Always Pleased to Hear From Us

 We see in Exodus 30 that there was an altar in the Tabernacle with a very specific incense that placed right before the Mercy Seat where God’s presence was. It represented the prayers and praises of His people Revelation 5:8. It is a pleasing aroma to Him to hear from His people.

Will you spend some time in prayer today? You can start by simply thanking Him for all He has done, tell Him how beautiful His creation is, talk to Him about your day, ask Him to show you ways to serve Him.

Read the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 and say it back to Him in your own words. I believe that you will find that beginning the habit of having simple, honest, and real conversations with God, will lead to more intimate and frequent conversations with your Father.
