What Does 'Freedom' Mean for Our Lives?

Hello Church family,

Over the years I’ve had the privilege of traveling to many countries, meeting with many followers of Jesus, and hearing their stories.

For so many, following Jesus and just living every day life looks very, very different for them than it does for us.

I’ve been thinking about that as we approach Memorial Day weekend, because it’s easy to get focused on the fun of a holiday and forget the meaning of the moment.

Make no mistake: the freedom we have here is no small thing, was bought with a price, and must not be taken for granted.

Of course, that’s not a new message for most of us, is it? It’s one we hear almost every year around this time, or perhaps around the Fourth of July.

But what does it MEAN for how we live our life today?

It turns out, the Bible has a lot to say about things like freedom, sacrifice, and living in light of what we’ve received, and I believe God has a right-now word for us this weekend that will encourage you in your journey and bring you even more joy this Memorial Day.
